RO Associates has more than 15 years experience in the design and production of encapsulated brick power modules that are frequently chosen for use as components in commercial-off-the–shelf military power system designs.  Outstanding electrical performance, coupled with mechanical packaging features such as insulated metal substrates, planar magnetics and thermally conductive potting make RO the bricks of choice for high performance, high power density systems.  Indeed, RO are specialists in the design and manufacture of rugged and reliable power conversion solutions for such demanding environments. 

As market trends force many makers toward lead free solder, RO continues to serve this market with products manufactured with tin lead solder.  Our input and output connectors and many internal terminations as well, such as those for power transformers, etc use high quality gold over nickel plating rather than pure tin, thus allowing us to have standard parts that work equally well when lead free or tin lead processes are called for while avoiding pure tin plating.  In this way we are able to offer any of our new lead free products in tin lead solder versions.  Consult factory for further information as minimum order quantities and longer lead times may apply.

RL process:  No pure tin allowed.  Some RO products can be made available in tin-lead solder versions with the additional requirement that pure tin is disallowed for internal PWB finish and component terminal finish.  Such products are given suffix RL.  Consult factory regarding availability.
