Company History

Founded in 1963, RO entered the power supply market with a splash in 1967 by pioneering the commercial 20 KHz switching power supply. RO entered the high density brick business in 1990 with the introduction of its MicroVerter line of products, again setting a new standard in the industry for power density and efficiency.  In the fall of 2005 RO was acquired by EMRISE Corporation which now fuels a renewed dedication to quality, technology and customer satisfaction that has been carried on for over 40 years.  RO continues to design and manufacture a full line of standard off-the-shelf AC-DC and DC-D converters, systems and accessories.

RO serves a worldwide market through a well developed network of channel sales partners.  Our customers range from relatively small developers of military power systems, industrial displays and satellite communications to leaders in communications, in-flight entertainment and top Fortune 500 defense contractors.
